Long Bay Baptist Church Cell Groups.

Long Bay Baptist recognises the improtance of mid-week groups and encourages all of it's members to participate.

When you belong to a fairly large church it can sometimes be harder to "connect" with others. By belonging to a cell or home group you can make very good relationships with a few people ,who you meet either weekly or fortnightly.

One of the values of cell groups is that it soon becomes obvious if someone is ill or in trouble and the group can help. In a large church it is easy not to realise when someone is missing for a few weeks.

For people, like new immigrants, there is a huge value in these groups as you get to know each other and become family to each other. For example at Long Bay when Christmas comes around those families who are here on their own can join with another family in a similar situation.

At Long Bay we have many diverse groups.

This will be an exciting year for our cell groups as we seek to move our vision for the church forward. We are looking for Holy Spirit empowerment in the cells and an outward focus to these cells.

Our cell groups meet either weekly or bi-weekly and each group studies topics of their choice. We have women’s groups, men’s groups and mixed groups. There is also one group for young adults and all of these groups are expecting to have an exciting year.

Belonging to a cell group gives you extra to the Sunday service teaching and chance to grow in a safe place your journey of faith.
