Tuesday Talk

 

So how do we understand what God is and is going to do around us?

 

The simple answer is that he tells us! He speaks to us!

 

I don't know about you, but I've never heard an audible voice from the heavens before! But I have heard God speak on occasions before to reveal his purposes and ways, in a variety of ways!

 

Here are some ways.......through........my thoughts, my conscience, a strong impression, the Bible, other people and circumstance........(Next week we will look at these in more detail)

 

I would love to hear alot more from Him!

 

This is the amazing truth. God wants to and does speak to us! Do you believe this, even though is may not have been your experience up til now. He who belongs to God hears what God says. John 8:47

 

We see God speaking in the bible, why would He stop speaking to us today? God doesn't change!  

 

This was from my reading........ "I hear many people say something like this: "Lord, I really want to do your will. So stop me if I am wrong and bless me if I am right." The only problem is I don't see this pattern anywhere in the Scriptures......Doing as they please and then putting the responsibility on God to intervene and stop them. 

If you want to know the will and voice of God, you must give the time and effort to cultivate a love relationship with Him. That is what he wants!"

 

As I've mentioned before, the biblical pattern is that God usually gives directions one step at a time and according to His timing!

 

If you do not have clear instructions from God in a matter, pray and wait. Depend on God's timing. Don't get in a hurry. He may be withholding directions to cause you to seek Him more intently. God is more interested in a love relationship with you than what you can do for Him.
